Who should use MeniQ?

Is MeniQ approved by the healthcare system?
Yes. MeniQ is used in healthcare for treatment of Meniere’s disease. MeniQ is a registered medical equipment.
Do I need to consult a doctor to start treatment of Meniere with MeniQ?
No. You can start treatment immediately when you receive your MeniQ.
Do I need a ventilation tube implant (TMD)?
A TMD tube is not normally needed. This is because MeniQ has IPC (individual pressure control) with which you can adjust the pressure pulse to a strength that you are comfortable with.
I already have a ventilation tube in my ear. Does it need to be removed?
No, that is not necessary.
Is it difficult to use MeniQ?
MeniQ is very easy to use and a treatment only takes a few minutes. MeniQ includes a short and easy-to-read manual. Everyone who uses MeniQ also has full free support.
Is MeniQ effective?
MeniQ is very effective. Clinical studies have shown that MeniQ has a three-star significant improvement in dizziness, balance problems, feeling of fullness in the ears, tinnitus (p = 0.000) and hearing (p = 0.023). Read more about the study
Should I discontinue my medication prescribed by my doctor?
MeniQ is most often used as the only treatment for Meniere, but it can also be used with other medications. When you start treatment with MeniQ pressure pulsator, you do not need to change or end the previous prescription of medication.
How do the pressure pulses reach the inner ear?
Each pressure pulse propagates via the middle ear to the inner ear and normally a TMD tube does not need to be inserted.
What pressure does MeniQ give in the ear?
The level of MeniQ's pressure pulses is low and harmless and can be set to suit you. The maximum pressure can be compared to the pressure in the ear that occurs at a depth of 25 centimeters under water. MeniQ also has a built-in safety valve.
How long should treatment with MeniQ last?
Endolymph (a fluid in the inner ear) is produced continuously. Preventive treatment should therefore continue.

Does MeniQ have warranty?
